Join us for an inspiring conversation with Richard Fairgray, a New Zealand born author and illustrator who works primarily in comics and children's books. Despite being legally blind with only 3% vision in one eye and none in the other, he has over 250 comics books to his name. He draws, colors, and animates his work. He will talk about a variety of topics including his journey to create the world of Haunted Hill and its characters, selling all of his worldly possessions to move to Hollywood, California, how he uses a creative process for each book, his drive to write and draw detailed comics, how to market comics, how a story he created at the age of seven about Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse got him in trouble, the differences between physical and digital art, and the art programs he uses.
