Band of Bards publishing has had a phenomenal year so far from publishing amazing comics, to getting Diamond distribution and setting up for an amazing 2023 and even 2024 publishing years ahead. The unrest in America continued with Roe vs Wade (officially has now been overturned as of 06/24/2022) and Purity culture coming to the forefront of the US media. The country in an outrage and uproar regarding these issues. Light needed to be shed on this issue. Enter the Kickstarter Campaign run by a comic writer creator Elyse called The Dark Side of Purity. This two book collection of comics, prose and poems are put into this incredibly powerful Anthology being published by Band of Bards. Co-owner Tim Stolinski from Band of Bards talks in this candid conversation about the anthology, Elyse' work in bringing all the creators together, running the Kickstarter, where the funds are going to be donated to and why this issue is not just American based but is occurring around the world.

Joe Khachadourian wrtier and creator Identity Stunt 1 and Identity Stune 2 comic. About Identity Stunt 1 and 2: The protagonist Sami “Sam” Nasser is a stunt man who is accused of being a masked vigilante by antagonist- Dominus Smith. We’re not sure if Sam is Beatdown the vigilante who often beats up Dominus, but the implication is this is a case of mistaken secret identity. During this interview Joe Khachadourin talks about his creative influence being Kevin Smith, with all the work that he's done in his career, to even appearing on Kevin Smith's podcast. From there we discussed why creating worlds is important, and why sometimes the best method for naming characters is to be obvious and literal at the same time. Aside from that we discussed a secret project that you'll have to see and hear about on this interview!

Neil Kleid is a talented writer and comic book writer for many decades. From writing X-Men, Superman and Spider-man to Fraggle Rock and more; to his own webcomics of Kings and Canvas, Todt Hill and Action, Ohio. It is safe to say that he is dedicated, passionate and hard working. Recently a few projects are finished: Judas Priest: Screaming for Vengeance graphic novel where they look into stories behind the music of that album. The Panic issues 1 and 2 (more to come) looks at a horror / thriller comic of a group of people stuck in a subway and what they must do to survive.

Maxwell Majernik is a comic writer and creator of Prospects which is the newly published comic at Band of Bards publishing. From writing film scripts, to comics, Maxwell is a writer with the drive to learn from the ground-up taking his writing cues from greats like Quentin Tarentino to Steven Speilberg, he transitioned into writing comics. With many lessons learned he wrote the comic Prospects. We talk about influences in film directors, transitioning from film to comics, finding the right people for the jobs needed to make this comic a reality and much more!
